The Rivr handbook

This is the handbook for the hub. Every surface has a page, every page is written the same way, and every procedure is numbered steps you can follow while looking at the screen.

What is here

Getting started. What Rivr is, how to choose the places you belong to, and the short list of things worth doing in your first sitting.

Home. The Dashboard, the Map and Explore — the three ways to look at everything — and the Map's walkable world: XR Earth, the portals and rooms you step through, and the physical things you can scan.

My Places. How a place hub works, what switching places changes, and the Global Hub.

My Groups. A group's page, the organization tree, members and roles, joining and leaving, and a group's treasury.

Manage. One page each for Profile, Saved, Events, Groups, Voice, People, Gigs, Listings, Marketplace, Messages, Broadcast, Wallet and Calendar.

Tools. Builder, Docs, Canvas, AI and Flow Planning.

Account. Settings, connected services, notifications and Support.

How the hub works. The ideas that cut across every page: hubs and panels, feeds and views, making things, who can see what, money, having a say, finding things, your account across places, and the glossary.

How a page is laid out

Every page carries the same six sections, in the same order.

1. What this is — two or three sentences.
2. What you see — the page described as it appears.
3. What you can do here — a short list, each pointing at a procedure.
4. How to … — numbered steps, one action per step.
5. What changes for you — how the page differs by role and by what you have set up.
6. Where this connects — the pages this one leads to.

The glossary defines every word the rest of the handbook uses.

For assistants

The whole handbook is served as one file at /docs/wiki/index.json, and each page is also served as plain Markdown at /docs/wiki/<page>.md. Both are public and need no credentials. Assistants speaking the Model Context Protocol can reach the same content through the wiki_search, wiki_read and wiki_glossary tools, and list every page as a resource under rivr://wiki/.
