Events
Every gathering you are going to, interested in, hosting or could discover, with the tools to host one yourself.
Where this lives: Manage > Events
What this is
Events are gatherings. Someone hosts one, people say whether they are coming, and some of them sell tickets.
The Events page gathers every gathering that touches you, plus the ones near you that do not yet.
What you see
The title reads Events Hub. Above it sits the name of the place you are viewing in, or a line saying across every locale.
A button reading Host a gathering sits at the top right of the middle column. It is always there and cannot be hidden.
The wide middle column holds three panels.
Upcoming events carries two rows of filters. The first row narrows by kind: All, In person and Online. The second row narrows by your relationship to the event: Going, Interested, Hosting, In Group and Discover. Each carries a count.
This week holds everything in the next seven days.
Discover events in my groups holds what your groups have coming up.
The narrow right column holds a conditions card and a globe showing what is running at this moment.
The page header carries Add widget and Reset layout. Everything else about a panel is on the panel itself.

What changes for you
You must be signed in to reach the Events page.
An event's own page adds tabs for About, Attendees, Discussion, Announcements and Financials. A Docs tab appears for the event's admins only.
Edit and Delete appear on an event only for its owner.
An invite panel appears only on a private event, and only for its owner.
The live room opens only to people marked Going, inside the scheduled window, and to the event's admins. Outside that it tells you why it is closed.
A private event never appears on a global, place or group feed.
Selling paid tickets needs a Host membership or higher. Without one, a window explains that and offers the plans.
Where this connects
- Calendar is where an event you said yes to ends up.
- Making things covers the Create page, which is where a gathering is made.
- Who can see what explains the visibility control on the form.
