Gigs
Work you can claim, work you have claimed, and what the groups you belong to are building.
Where this lives: Manage > Gigs
What this is
Gigs is the work board. A job is a piece of work somebody posted. Claiming one puts your name on it.
Some jobs pay cash, some pay points, and some are volunteer work that mints a Thanks voucher.
What you see
The title reads Gigs Hub. Above it sits the place you are viewing in, or a line about offering what you can and asking for what you need.
Two buttons sit at the top right of the middle column, above everything arrangeable. They read Offer a service and Post a job.
The wide middle column holds four panels.
Available work lists the open jobs you could claim. A search box narrows it by title. Three rows of controls narrow it further. The first row is the kind of pay: All work, Fixed price, Hourly and Volunteer. The second row is when: Any time, Today, Tomorrow, This Week, This Month and Upcoming. The third is a list of your groups, starting with All groups. Each card carries a Claim button.
Work near you pins the jobs and projects on this page on a globe.
My jobs lists the work you have already claimed. When you have none, it says so.
Discover projects in my groups lists what your groups are building.
The narrow right column holds Current projects, which is your open tasks across every project, and Waiting on your reply.
The page header carries Add widget and Reset layout. Everything else about a panel is on the panel itself.

What changes for you
You must be signed in to reach Gigs.
The whole board follows the pill in the top bar. Choosing a place narrows it to that place.
Only jobs that are open or already running, and that still have a free place, appear under Available work. A job with no pay kind is hidden by any specific pay filter. A job with no date is hidden by any specific when filter.
A job's own page carries tabs for About, Tasks, Timer and Stock. Points appears when there is a share to show. Review appears for the people who manage or attest the job. Docs appears for its managers and for the people actively working on it.
Only a job's manager sees the admin panel, with Edit job, Add task, Mark done and Release payment.
Getting paid is two steps by somebody else. A manager presses Mark done, which records the contribution and the cash owed. Then a manager presses Release payment, which attests it and pays it out. The control then reads that it is paid.
A volunteer job mints a Thanks voucher rather than moving cash.
Where this connects
- Wallet is where the money for a finished job arrives.
- Calendar shows a claimed job's deadline as a shift.
- Subgroups and projects explains where a job sits.
